I wanted to say thanks again to all for the advice on the kittens. We got them on Sunday, and they are two of the cutest things on earth. They are settling in well, and so far I have not had any allergic reactions. I will try to take a picture and post it here, but that is a new skill for me. Also, they need to sit still long enough for me to do it. They are very playful. They love to stalk each other and pounce, then roll all over the floor. Or chase their tails. Or try to climb the curtains. Or... well you get the idea.

I rented the DVDs, but I'm definitely up for watching all the shows again. I'm so bummed that I'm not going to be able to see Serenity until I get back from Arizona (mid-October). |

I saw them too Genie. But I missed Captain Tightpants the first time. I saw Allen T. and totally missed Nathan F. until they came back on. Why yes! I am TOTALLY jealous of Zoe, why do you ask?
I can't go see Serenity until next, next weekend. I didn't take the boys to see Corpse Bride this weekend, and I can't take another mortage on the house so I can afford 2 movies in one week. The good part is, no one but me is interested in seeing it, so I can go by myself! |

Sigh. I missed the entire freaking season.
Working for a living just sucks ... Did everyone survive the hurricanes? Any interesting evacuation tales to tell? Life On Hold hasn't blogged since July so things were probably hopping here for what seemed to be the worst cast on BB ever. I think it has come down to the fact that they can't trick ordinary people into coming on the show anymore and all they have left are actor wannabes. I was just about to cancel Real forever until I read up above in the thread about puppies 24\7. I must go see that. Missed you all Ferfe |

We missed you this season too Ferfe! But you didn't miss a whole lot BB-wise. Just a whole lot of vile women attacking others and prevailing in the end - ugh.
We made it through the hurricane just fine. We left Wed night going the back roads and hit a bit of traffic but not bad really. My parents and 90 yr old grandmother left Thursday at 4am and sat in about 14 hours of traffic and getting not very far at ALL. I was quite worried about my Dad's blood pressure dealing with all the "meanies" on the road. When the storm turned a bit to the east and their car hit 1/4 tank (they were on back roads too with no hope of refueling if they ran out) they turned back and rode it out at home. Now I get to unpack all that stuff I so carefully protected and all the valuables I took with us. We are lucky that we have A/C, water & food. The meals we are eating are quite eclectic. The kids love it. I think I have a Caramel warm delight in the pantry. Mmmm lunch. |

yeah. The grocery store stock gets real creative until they work out the logistics of getting in shipments. We got the coolest stuff last year - especially in the Fruit and cheese sections. Kinda makes the whole hurricane experience worth it.

Ferfe! There you are! I see your comment about my blog came before today's re-emergance (albiet just a promise of future blogginess). That makes me feel....wanted! We missed you here at HT this season, but work is work. How did you fare in Rita's brush with the Keys? As for Puppies 24/7, I am disturbed by it: 1) puppies need darkness just like humans, 2) their environs are kind of depressing...a box frame covered with a sheet and no toys, and 3) where's momma? |

Whew! I'm glad momma has been been in there feeding. Maybe I'll pull it up today and check it out again.
I was having a bitch of a time getting some video to load thru AOL, video that I used to get all the time. I fought with my firewall, with my cookies, with my security settings, all randomly to add to the confusion. Three hours later I updated to AOL 9.0 Security Edition (from the regular 9.0) and that did the trick. What an unplanned way to suck the life out of a vacation day! |
