Diane has one thing on her mind: she is focused only on hitching herself to Drew--like, literally. She's already got their china pattern picked out. She's convinced. It will be entertaining, but just a bit tragic when he dodges her calls like a greased pig. But we'll never get to see it. Diane was just hateful right from the beginning.

Quote: Look at Nak's so-called "betrayals". The first time she put him up, she went to Cowboy in advance and assured him that he was just a pawn. She made sure in advance that there were sufficient votes to assure him that he was protected. That's class, IMO. The second time she put him up, she was down to a limited number of choices. Cowboy knew that Nak had always part of the "pinky swear" alliance. (I'm sure Nadria whined enough about it to him that he will never forget.) He also knew that Nak was smart enough to know that, if the choice to take Drew or Nak to the end, Cowboy would choose Drew in a heartbeat. Aside from the first week or so, when Cowtard and Nak were still coming to grips with the "twist", Cowtard hasn't seemed to make any great effort to foster loyalty in Nak. Instead, he has worked his butt off to carry tales to anyone who was willing to listen, and if it meant ratting out Nak or doing something that might be harmful to Nak's game, he was just dandy with it. I don't really see Nak's actions as "betrayals" at all. Nak did what she could and treated him with more courtesy that what he deserved. Now let's look at Sly-Tan. - She came into the house and joined the "pinky swear" alliance. - Sly starts spooning Drew and makes an alliance there. ("Oh, we're both twins!" Gag!) - She then turns around and joins up with the Borgettes, urging them to put up good buddy Will. - As soon as Will is out, she dumps the twins and goes after Two-of-Two and One-of-Two. - Once they're gone, she makes a promise to MFM to protect him. That lasted all of two seconds. - When MFM was gone, she turned right around, buddied up to Cowtard, and worked to oust Karen. I've little doubt that next week, she'll be working Screw and Cowtard to get rid of Nak and working Nak to get rid of Screw or Cowtard (probably Cowtard, since she thinks that Screw is actually going to give her the time of day after the game). She did all of this without warning anyone that she was switching alliances. She has been lying to everyone the whole time and actually seems proud of herself for doing it. If she ends up getting rewarded for this, karma must be on holiday. |

Doesn't it seem like D&D are forgetting the possibility that Nak could win the veto next week? It seems like when they are making their little plans they never include that possibility.

My thought on the "new alliance"..If this works and Karen leaves Thursday and Nak leaves next week..I think the only good final two would be Drew and Cowboy..anything else is going to be an easy win, whoever is against Diane..
Just my thoughts..because as we have seen all season Diane could wake up on the wrong side of the bed and vote to evict Cowboy. |

Nakomis still has a chance to win this. She by now knows that Diane is a lying piece of crap. She also knows that the Nadrias will vote for either Drew or Cowboy over her or Karen. She needs to appeal to Karen's sense of dishonour. Karen (from Diane's point of view) had to go because she had friends in both sides of the house. Now the playing field is more even. In fact, the only person Diane could possibly not lose unanimously to is Nakomis. Nak needs to sell this to her. Drew will understand - it's strategic, not personal. Cowboy won't understand, but he understands so little anyway.
Here's hoping that Diane's lust for money overpowers her lust for Drew. |

Re: Golden Veto Question

Why are Karen and Nakomis just accepting fate instead of working Diane? This is a girl who is so fucking insecure that one small whisper in her ear could change the whole game! Karen and Nakomis need to start telling her things they've heard between Cowtard and Drew, such as "Horsemen to the end", and that kind of shit. They need to laugh at her, make her believe she is being played for a fool by Drew. Christ, make shit up! What have they got to lose? This complacency is just driving me insane.

Diane vs. Nakomis | ||
|
Hey, I'm not saying Diane's an angel. She isn't by a long shot. It seems to me though that she and Nakomis use the same excuse when they do break their word to others 1. Self Preservation 2. "It's a game." I'm just pointing out that I think the main factor is not the betrayal issue but who is more like-able.
As long as we're keeping score, it appears Nakomis plans on breaking her word to CB for a 3rd time. She told him that if it came to a tie, he would not go and then later in the broadcast, when she had to nominate Karen, she said that too bad for CB she has to do what's best for her. Hmm... sounds like the same strategy used by Diane and the Nadria. Do what you have to to get you where you need to go. The only difference is that Nak seems to feel a little bad about it where Diane and the Nadria felt justified in all their actions. Once again I need to say that I hope Nakomis wins . I don't like Diane and I think she's a pathetic loser. However, my feelings are not based on betrayal but like-ability. |

My feelings about them are not based upon betrayal or likeability. Instead, I've decided to judge all of the hamsters only on height. Well, on their height/eye color compatability index. It's all very complicated, but in the end they are all in a five way tie for asshole, so it doesn't matter much.

Quote:They know that if working her has any shot of going in their favor, they have to do it at the very last minute. They know they can't do it with a night buffer in between their talking to her and the vote, because she'll have Drew in her ear all night undoing all the damage they try to do. Not to mention that Diane is one mood swing away from jumping back into the girl alliance and pressure could swing her back to the boys. It's like poking a sleeping lion. If you're going to do it, you better do it well or you're as good as gone. |

Neverland | ||

When I read that Cowboy had been to Neverland, the first thing that came to my mind was Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. I think Cowboy could qualify to go as a "special" person.
Do you think he was Michael Jackson's type? |

Time for Karen to leave!!!

IMO if Karen is going around talking about Chasen, calling him somebody's "bastard child", she needs to get the hell out. And dont let the doorknob, wait, slam that bitch in the ass with the doorknob, and make sure her fingers get caught in the door.

Well, in all fairness, Chaisen is the child of an unmarried woman. Who isn't Cowboy's biological offspring. So technically.... but I agree she shouldn't pick on the kid.
At least I don't think she's being as mean about it as Aliscum was about Robert's kid last year. I think Cowboy has a tendency to make it sound like he's the only dad on earth, and the constant references are practically begging for snotty comments about his relationship with the kid. |

clever, smart, and snarky!
Quote:This is why I LOVE Hamster Time! There are more clever, smart, snarky people here than any other spot on the web - and you all enjoy BB! It's not exactly the kind of show I want to admit I enjoy to just anyone! Thanks overgme, and HWG, and raptorgirl75 and tsylyst, for making this place so fun! But back on topic, I was hoping the hamsters would get Karen out this week - but now that it looks like a done deal, I'm hoping she finds a way to sway Diane! I'd like to see all the alliances shatter and realign this week. |

BB on VH1 | ||
|
Did anyone see the BB special on VH1? I saw it last night (for all I know it might be way old), but I was struck by how much in hindsight I actually liked the other seasons' hamsters. Is it all relative? Will I like these morons (Nak excluded, I'll always like her) more when I see the NEXT batch of losers?
I even had fond remembrances of Josh and even stupid Aliscum's antics seem funny(ish) in retrospect. And all Robert's bitch/whore was so much fun to hate! Also, I still can't tell Erika and Lisa apart. Plus, it was kind of nice that there were more regular people--Kent, Gerry, Jack... Or maybe it's just the evil bitterness of staring at these five assholes for the past week that is making me crazy. I mean, come on -- fond Josh memories??? Eeew. Also, there seemed to be 5 people left when Jun went to the MTV awards. I don't remember about the clothes burning or the Sheryl Crow concert, but it seems these guys have been kinda ripped off in the fun comps department. |

I watched it, starrdog - much fun! I'm one of those miserable louts who MISSED SEASON TWO, and now I really think I'm going to have to get the DVD. Those people look like a veritable feast of neuroses.
I did find myself fondly missing the season 3 folks. Season 4 - not so much. I liked Erika and Jack and loved their bond; pretty much hated everyone else. I find Allison truly vile. She's one of the very few reality show contestants I don't give a pass for being portrayed as a "character." She's wretched. If I saw her on the street I would cross to the other side. And what was up with Julie Chen showing a personality? Freaked me right out. Uh...topic...I'm strangely fond of this year's batch o' hammies. Wonder how long that will hold... |

mishi, do you have a high-speed connection (cable modem, dsl)? Because if you do, e-mail me and I'll hook you up with a way to download the BB2 episodes. They are not to be missed.
I saw the special, too, and thought it was excellent. It made me fall in love with Dr. Evil all over again. And Hardly is still a dumbass. Who needs to comb his hair (as does Nathan). |

Quote: I think it is all a matter of personal preference. I HATED everyone last season so much I didn't really watch it or care about it, and I don't miss any of them a bit. This season I love Nak so I am invested in watching it til she leaves - then I probably won't much care who wins. Season 3 was my favorite, though I think most people's favorite was Season 2. |

Ranking the Big Brother casts?
Big Brother 2 was obviously tops. From Nicole's awesome self preservation efforts the first week, to the destruction of Chill Town and the emergence of Will as a mastermind (he totally let Shannon take the fall and set up Mike for his eviction) to the downfall of Krista and Hardy, the rise of Monica's gibberish, Bunky's pathetic meltdown, and Nicole's complete freak out which was utilized to perfection by Will, this season had it all. Big Brother 5. I actually find the cast this season to be pretty tolerable. The twins got annoying, and Scott was obnoxious, but none of them were near as bad as some of the crap that has come before. The one downside is that all of the strong personalities who tend to make for interesting viewing have long since departed. Big Brother 3. Loved Amy except for the couple of weeks when she became a simpering fool. Marcellas was okay until he decided he had to be mister popular, and turned into one of the biggest superficial bitches the show has ever seen. Danielle wasn't funny but thought she was. Roddy wasn't smart but thought he was. Jason wasn't interesting, but probably didn't think he was. One player who made for great entertainment, and a few pretty annoying ones sinks this BB to the middle of the pack. Big Brother 4. Robert was far and away the most loathsome hamster I've ever seen. And Cookie Boy and Honor Man weren't much better. I was very sad in the end when I had to root for Alison to make the finals (at least I could respect a lot of her gameplay, even if her personality blew). The most interesting hamster was evicted the first week, and it was all downhill from there. Big Brother 1. I'd think back to it, but the grass is growing outside my window, and quite frankly, watching that seems like the more exciting option. |
