EW.com gets into the Big Brother spirit. I think you have to be a subscriber to the mag to get in, but it's an amusing article if you can get to it.
A quote: Quote: The article takes great glee in the circumstances regarding Scott's eviction, and makes note of Nate's reading ability, among other things. |

Arrrrrrgh! Friday Night Blues
|
Those of us in the NY market have to suffer through 1:30AM Broadcasts every Saturday morning, because the local CBS affiliate is deferring the Big Brother showing on Fridays for Yankee games.
If you guys keep on your toes and post here during the Friday night broadcasts, it would be appreciated as a way to keep us in the loop somewhat. I'm assuming that the thread for that particular week under General Discussion would be the logical place... right? Give your during show thoughts and stuff, it'll help us keep up. Obviously, the 1:30 showing is video tapable of course, but even then things can get screwed up since the affiliate NEVER is actually consistent about what they do after games, since not only does the baseball game go different legnths, but so does the post-game local news coverage, and they make variable decisions about how much or little of the Letterman/Kilborn shows to broadcast (usually all of them, delayed, but they've also gone the other way and just joined them in progress--I know this from how they treated their CBS schedule last year with the Yankee games, even if BB wasn't a factor). The official broadcast recaps are, of course, appreciated as well, but obviously those take some crafting and understadably, some time. EDIT - Okay... I wound up going out anyway. I'll catch up on this stuff tomorrow, I guess. Sorry, for some reason I misread the topic and thought it was something it wasn't... EDIT 2 - Grrrr. Guess what? I'm up late working on something and kept the CBS affiliate on. They NEVER showed BB! They showed a re-cast of the "48 Hours" that was also pre-empted by the ball game instead! Despite what they've advertised. Grrr. Oh well... Back to BB news articles and stuff... Didn't mean to hijaack the topic. |

I heard that only the last 7 evicted people will vote and they will be sequestered, this is different than last year right? Last year they all voted and they were not sequestered?

Friday, August 01, 2003 The Second House...... Some Questions Answered I just got off the phone with someone at Shapiro Grodner Productions and asked a few questions regarding the house. She told me that there is a second house for the houseguests (which we already knew). I asked if it was located on the CBS Studio City lot and she confirmed that it was located somewhere on the lot, although she could not say the location in regards to the current house location. And as well she was not sure of the house set up etc... But she did tell me that the second house was built this year, so it is a new building on the CBS Studio City lot. So it's not one of the bungalow's we had been speculating. posted by Andrew at 3:31 PM |

You know, it just occured to me that with the interview Dave gave to the BB website, there is no way he'll have a chance to get back in the house. Otherwise he would have been sequestered away, along with Michelle and Amanda, so no one could see the show tapes.
This thought is a bummer. Someone talk me out of it! |

From the BB4BBQ Website - More News on the Sequester House
|
"The producers also decided this year to open up another house to sequester players who have been voted out of the "Big Brother" house, starting with the fifth banished houseguest. That way, the final group of seven players -- who ultimately return to pick the show's winner -- won't be swayed by what they see on the show. They'll be allowed to watch portions of what airs on the "Big Brother" telecast, but not segments from the "Diary Room" -- in which contestants reveal secrets about their strategy. Those isolated players will continue to be taped, with some footage from house No. 2 likely to be used on the show. "When they're in this house, they're still playing the game," Grodner said. Decision to keep sequestering the players came after last year's show, when producers felt that banished houseguest voters were swayed by watching the Diary Room comments."

Are we going to get live feeds of the sequester house? I vote that all feeds go there after next week when Alison is voted out and joins fellow sequesteree, Dana, for some rip-roaring fun and girlish highjinx in the sequester house from hell.
