Storm. Ha!

All three are still holding onto their keys. The rain has stopped and started once again. I love that they gave them all rain hats, and that they're actually using them.
Now they need to start dumping that shit in that they used for the challenge Amy one. Cause nothing says fun like dead eels in castor oil. |

Can some one explaine the object of this. I see D, L, and J in the pool in little boats with a faux storm. But, why are they dumping stuff out of the boats, and what was that they showed floating in the pool. I kinda figured the last one holding on to their key wins...but what else is there to it?

All still in the pool. The rain has stopped again, and they all shake out their rain hats. They're not saying much of anything.
Oh, and because I know it's what everyone really wants to know; no one has peed yet. edited to note: the point is simply to hold onto your key and stay in the boat. They're bailing water out of the boats, as every so often BB will dump rain on them. |

25 minutes into the Lifeboat Endurance Competition | ||
|
The live show left us watching the hamsters, Danielle, Jason and Lisa get into separate inflatable lifeboats floating on a large swimming pool in the back yard. They each inserted their key into a white box in the center of the pool.
Like last year's endurance contest, the last one still holding his or her key wins this leg of the contest. The hamsters observe that they have a rainhat and a cup in their boat. As the live show ends Julie says there is a storm coming. Shortly after the show an artificial storm starts, a real deluge. They scramble to don their red rainhats and begin to bail. My best feed is on Jason and he is decidely unhappy, miserable really, with the 'storm'. Lisa is very silent. Occasionally Lisa says something inaudible, but occasionally gives her little Lisa laugh. The rain stops. There is no shifting of hands. They take off their rain hats and do some cleanup. About five minutes later the rain begins again, but only lasts about 5 minutes. They are very quiet. The Quads are jerky. Lisa sneezes. Now they're discussing how the other parts of the 3-part competition will work. I did not catch the details. Posting. |

Rub-a-dub-dub, three sodden, miserable hamsters in a tub.
Very little conversation. A lot of bailing. |

Something in the sky | ||
|
Lisa wonders 'what is that?' - something in the sky. Someone asks if it's a UFO. Lisa says that plane is going to fly right into it. Jason, I think, says it's a searchlight and hopes that BB got it on tape. It's one of the coolest things he's seen. Lisa says it's beautiful and hopes it's a positive thing.
All are still holding their keys. The 'rain' begins again. For those reading about the feeds only, three of the four feeds are on each of the hamsters and the fourth is on the key box. Unfortunatly none of the cameras are getting very good shots. The white of the key box is glaring while the images hammies are largely cut off by their low position in the water. Communicating, and then pretty much freezing. Speaking of freezing, Jason has commented several times about how cold the 'rain' is. There is also fake lightning which does not help the visuals on the live feeds. The rain stops and there is a FOTH; I did not see if a had left the box or not. Waiting. Back from FOTH. Jason is OUT. He must have let go causing the FOTH. Jason says he'll go in and get a warm show. Just before another FOTH he says, "I'm such an idiot, such an idiot." Dani is very disappointed. Posting. |

Hah, I thought so. I saw someone take their hand off the key when the rain started again. Dani made a noise and so I thought it was her. But the rain came down and BB said nothing, so I thought perhaps it was a trick of the light.
I guess I must have seen Jason, because after a brief FOTH there are only two people in the pool, Dani and Lisa. Jason leaves to shower. |

Given the FOTH right before Jason left, my guess is BB caught him moving his hand off the key earlier, and informed him of that fact during the the FOTH. I believe someone on the chat mentioned that they thought they saw his hand slip.

Dani's doing her Forrest Gump, mentioning Lt. Dan, "Bring it on! Is that all you got?!!!" Much screaming on her part. She's gonna wear herself out with all that adrenalin!
Poor Jason, explaining that he was staring at something in the sky, had a cup in one hand, got surprised by the rain, grabbed for his hat...wrong hand. |

Jay said that he had turned to look at something when the rain started again. He had his cup in one hand so he went to use the hand that was holding the key to put his hat on. He just took it off briefly, but obviously that's enough. Blanket anyone?

Dani looks exhausted and very disappointed. She's also thinking hard.
Lisa sneeses again and remarks that the rain seems to be getting colder. Now I'm sneezing and cold. A plane flys overhead. Water splashes and it is Lisa getting the rain hat ready. The rains starts up again and it seems to be blowing. Hurricaine BB3. I think it's more severe than earlier. Lisa is bailing with her head down. Now Dani begins to bail, too. They both share a long running laugh about it . I think Dani is saying "Bring it on." The palm leaves are blowing in the rain and wind. Dani shouts, "This isn't gonna make me quit. Nowhere. Is this all you got for me? Bring it! Whoo" Dani says she'll tell you a story from the Bible, Noah and the 40 days and 40 nights. ... Dani: "I have no more skin between my thighs. Is this all ya got? Bring it!" Hands still on the keys. Feeds go wonky but return. Dani is still vocal but bailing. Jason has had his shower and is changing into a long-sleeve white top in the living room. The rain stops and Lisa comments, "There's nothing like a permanent set of erect nipples." Jason comes out and Dani asks if he started her dinner yet. He says yeah, throws something in the dryer and comes out to the pool. Dani asks what happened. He was looking at something in the yard when the rain began. He had his cup in one hand and went to use the other to put on his hat and that's when he let go. Jason just asked if they're had the waves on yet. No, apparently not, just the rain. No one is talking. Jason is up at the edge of the pool. Lisa is looking at him. Dani is obviously straining and moves around. Dani thinks her boat may be sinking but Lisa thinks it's just that she's sitting differently. They are talking about their pants riding up. Dani says she has to pee. Jason said he was about to and recommends that she wait until the rain comes so no one will notice. "It will be nice and warm." Hee. They're been in over an hour. It's a little after 8:00 HT. Mechanical noises. Jason backs away thinking the rain would start but it doesn't. Another competition tomorrow. Dani grabs her hat to have it near. Feeds are going wonkie again as more people log on. Welcome. Posting. |

Re: 8:06 p.m. | ||

I don't think Danielle is gripping the key as tightly as Lisa, and she appears to be moving around a lot more. She just said she had to pee, and Jason told her to just go for it. But if she did it didn't help her jitteriness.
I try to change feeds, and get stuck in the traffic... |

hands on the keys | ||
|
Lisa must have bigger hands than Dani, because she has a really good, solid grip on the whole key. She has her fingers wrapped around it. Dani seems to barely be able to get her fingers around it at all.
DanIthoughtI couldmakeitonsurvivor has had a pretty defeated look on her face from time to time. She has asked, and we have a competition again tomorrow? Has been complaining of the cold. I don't see Lisa giving up any time soon. Jay still cold even after his shower. Says he's an idiot for taking his hand off the key. Dani's grip on that key is so weak--a slippery hand or a surprise will be the end of her. |
